Ingredients:

  • 100g of dark chocolate
  • 50g of unsalted butter
  • 75g of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 50g of all-purpose flour
  • 30g of cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 30g of pretzels, crushed
  • 50g of caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of sea salt for topping

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together until smooth.
  • Add the granulated sugar to the bowl and mix well until combined.
  • Beat in the egg until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Sift in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder, adding a pinch of salt, then stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the crushed pretzels gently into the brownie batter.
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased baking pan, then drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
  • Spread the remaining brownie batter over the caramel layer and drizzle with the rest of the caramel sauce.
  • Using a spatula, swirl the caramel into the brownie batter to create a marbled effect. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving and enjoy your salted caramel pretzel brownies.
