Ingredients:

  • 50ml of white rum
  • 30ml of fresh lime juice
  • 60ml of pomegranate juice
  • 10 leaves of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • Soda water to top off
  • Ice cubes
  • Pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • Basil sprig for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Muddler
  • Shaker
  • Glass
  • Strainer
  • Jigger

Instructions:

  • In a glass, muddle the fresh basil leaves with sugar and lime juice until the basil is fragrant and the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the white rum and pomegranate juice into the glass and mix well.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Top off with soda water to your preferred fizz level.
  • Stir gently to combine all the ingredients without damaging the basil too much.
  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds and a sprig of basil.
