Ingredients:

  • 2 oz of bourbon
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 1 orange peel
  • 1 cherry
  • wood chips for smoking

Instructions:

  • Begin by lighting the wood chips in your smoker and allowing them to smolder.
  • In a mixing glass, add the sugar cube and bitters. Muddle them together until the sugar dissolves.
  • Fill the mixing glass with ice and pour in the bourbon.
  • Stir until well chilled (about 30 seconds).
  • Prepare your rocks glass by adding a large ice cube.
  • Strain the chilled bourbon mixture into the rocks glass over the ice cube.
  • Using a smoking gun, introduce the smoke into the glass for a couple of seconds, then cover it with a lid to trap the smoke.
  • Garnish with a twist of orange peel and a cherry on top before serving.
