Ingredients:

  • 100g of mixed dried fruits
  • 50g of brown sugar
  • 30g of unsalted butter
  • 50g of breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of mixed spice
  • 50ml of milk
  • 30g of chopped nuts

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix with brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and then add the milk.
  • Stir in the mixed dried fruits, breadcrumbs, mixed spice, and chopped nuts until fully combined.
  • Spoon the mixture into a small pudding basin, pressing down firmly.
  • Cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil.
  • Place the pudding in a steaming pot over boiling water.
  • Steam for about 25 minutes or until firm to touch.
  • Remove from the pot and let it cool slightly before serving.
