Ingredients:

  • 100g of all-purpose flour
  • 50g of butter
  • 50g of sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 50g of jam (any flavor)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Roll small balls of dough (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Using your thumb or a spoon, create an indent in the center of each dough ball.
  • Fill each indent with a small amount of jam.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
